MUMBAI: SUVs in India are shrinking. If compact sports utility vehicles and crossovers made waves in 2014-15, gear up for a spate of 'micro SUVs' to be launched next year by carmakers wooing entry-level buyers in the Rs 3-6 lakh bracket. After Renault's Kwid compact car caught the market's attention with its SUV-ish design, 2016 will see the entry of more micro SUVS - Mahindra & Mahindra's XUV100 (also called S101), Datsun's Redi GO and leader Maruti Suzuki's Ignis, which is expected by the festive season next year.
